My Very Special Semestral Break

Our Semestral Break is over. After 5 months of staying at Ilocos Sur National High School we were given a chance to have our break. A break that is full of happiness and excitement.

The greatest escape, my very special semestral break. Its been days since our semestral break was ended but the memories are still fresh, reminiscing back then was an exciting and surprising day. It was October 23, I have to get ready for who is coming. So along with my precious smile and my everlasting charm, I headed to the partas terminal, later in the afternoon. I am so excited for my boyfriend is arriving from Manila. It's been never since I saw him, so I have no idea what will happen and there he goes, seeing him face to face was an extra-ordinary feeling. I might say, the greatest semestral break started the moment he stepped out of the bus. We get along that day, we have fun, we take a walk in the park at night and we ate empanada. It was so amazing, I just can't wait for the days to come. As the night ends, we were separating our ways for I am heading to our house to sleep and he's going to sleep at my Aunt's house. The nights turn into days. Later, I had known of the Raniag Twilight Festival, the long awaited lagim dancers, I was going to be a part of the group but I have chosen spending my time with my boyfriend. My choice was never a mistake. I haven't noticed that the days are moving so fast. I am starting to feel down for my boyfriend is going home on November 2. We spent his remaining days here in Vigan with flying colors. It was All Saints Day, we went to the cemetery to visit my eldest sister and we offered her a candle and a prayer. That night lasted for so long. I just can't think of what will happen when my boyfriend goes home. November 2, the class started, I am still bothered with my boyfriend's departure and as the night comes, sadness fills our face and as he stepped into the bus, I know I'm gonna miss the times when he's here. Eventhough that day was very sad, precious happy moments are tatoed on my mind.

This is my best Semestral Break ever. If ever I have a chance to have that kind of days again, I won't hesitate to seize it.

"Being A High School Student"

Being a high school student is not just "happy go lucky".

Learning is gaining knowledge or skills from others and even yourself. I've learned new knowledge in this past grading period. I've learned about the Mark-up Tags. Now, I'm applying my past lessons in making our activities and also when we are having a test about it. It is good for me to know those things, it has a great impact for me. Those things that I've learned can help me in my future life.

Being a student is fun, but it does have its down side. I've also encountered problems that make my day so moody. One of my big problems is that I have no enough money because sometimes my mother have no time to send it. Sometimes, my mind gets blank due to over excitement or so nervous. I am the kind of person that is not so much exposed to public that's why sometimes I am shy to share or express my opinion.

I addressed those problems with love and care. And also, I surpassed them with self-confidence so, I can reach my goal in life. Moving on, I will spend more time in reviewing my notes. I will be more attentive in class. I will also recognize my learning habits to improve my learning efficiency.

Filipinnovation: The Way Forward!

Different countries rose from zero to hero, from poor to wealthy, but how about us? We neither move forward nor stay in place of success. In order for us to gain steps in moving forward, we must be able to comply other countries.
Inventions and discoveries are some key factors to move forward. As an example, a Filipino doctor in vented the first incubator. Technology combined with invention, the best way to foresee that we, Filipinos are going to be like other countries, well-known, advanced and innovated. Another way of improving our way of living is through discovery of new things such as gadgets, equipments and machines to make living life easy.
To much forward is to gain advantage to others, not only in a technological way but also in our own local way. It doesn't mean that you cannot help Filipinos if you are uneducated. Things around us might be the key for us to move forward and so, Filipinnovation is not only in the hands of the educated people but all the Filipinos are the main ingredient for us to move forward.

"MY TEACHER, MY HERO"

In life, people may come and go, some will be remembered and some are forgotten. But one thing is for sure, I'll never forgot the person who is known as my second parent.
Who did efforts for me to gain knowledge, the one who has been my guide for so many years, the one who scolds and corrects me when I am doing wrong, the one who has been there as I face to reach the stepping stones in my life. The one who appreciates my efforts, the one who is always there to feed me a bit-full of information that I might use someday, the one who saves me from this unfair life where everyone should be feed with the same level of knowledge. The person who sacrifices for our own good, and yet, the laziness that I've shown them, the tiredness that they have seen from me.
After all, they never give up and they never stop to fill us with knowledge and when we are going to fall, they are always there to reach our hand and pull us back and so, the years might have been overthrown, and everything will fade, but they always be my hero for life and for all that efforts and sacrifices that they've done for us. How would life be without our teacher?

MY MIRROR

First Grading is almost over. I have learned many lessons that make my life meaningful. In I.C.T. IV, I have learned about INTERNET, Its brief history, its components, its services and tools, data types, web search engine and search terms. Also, I learned about writing on the notepad. Because of these lessons, I discovered that there is a hidden beauty of INTERNET. And now, I am applying search terms when I am researching. These lessons will help me for my success.

There are also problems that I have encountered like, sometimes it is difficult to learn because of the disability of the brain that affects the brain's ability to store information. There are challenges of a high school student that I have encountered, when I am doing my projects and they have the same dead line, it is hard because I am concentrating in two or more projects. Taking a test is also a challenge for me, because I have to review my notes but I forgot some details of the things that we have already learned.

I addressed those challenges with passion and self-confidence. Furthermore, I treat those challenges as my foundations in life. I n addition, I surpassed them with flying color because of my goal, to achieve my highest goal in my life.

Moving on, I will spend more time in my study because it is one of the best ways to maximize learning. I will focus on learning in more than one way. I will review my notes even if there is no announcement that we will have our test so that I am always prepared. I will also recognize my learning habits to improve my learning efficiency.

Sa Pangangalaga ng Wika at Kalikasan, Wagas na Pagmamahal ang Talagang Kailangan

The most basic human need is to love and be loved. But, not only human needs love but also things, places, language, natural resources and others.
To be able to make our sentence meaningful, use our language in manner. Don't be shy to speak using our language, you should be proud of it. We need our language in communicating and we are using it in our daily lives. Our language helps us to be successful in life. So, love our language as we love ourselves. By using our language, we can love those natural resources in our country.
Natural resources is very important because the foods that we are eating, things that make our life wonderful come from this. Natural resources in our country are diminishing because of the people who destroyed it and make it as their business. Do your role as a student, as a human and in order to do it well, "love our natural resources, love our environment". You can help and be involved in solving problems about natural resources like illegal logging. The branches that have been cut off from trees lie around. We shouldn't do these kinds of works. If tourists come to our country, would we be proud to show them such disorder and dirt? "Love others as you love yourself", put it in our mind. Love our language, we are the speakers of our own. Love our natural resources, love our environment.

"Sa Pagkaing Tama at Sapat, Wastong Timbang ni Baby ang Katapat"

One of the most important things to take into consideration is when deciding how much to feed, is your baby's behavior. Babies eat when they are hungry and stop when they are full.
Appetite varies among babies and each baby's nutritional needs change from day-day and month-month. Babies want less food if he's not feeling well. It's important to learn and read your baby's hunger signs. Be precautious and careful when preparing the right amount of water and milk powder to be mix before feeding your baby. Considering your baby is growing and needs to be fed with solid foods. At first, mashed fruits and vegetables are much preferred for growing babies. These kinds of food vary from the age of the baby due to their digestion rate. A fat baby is good but too much fat is a warning, for this may cause serious health issues.
Breast feeding is said to be the best for babies growth. Because, it is healthier than the commercial one.

Letter to the President

Dear Mr.President,
Congratulations for being elected as the 15th president of our country. I am so greatful for I was granted to write a letter for you.
I am so concern about our dying country. Years had passed but things had not changed. Food scarcity at rural areas, crime grows, poor people scattered everywhere and lately, our economy had crashing down, our countrymen had suffered too much, many children died because of hunger, families lost their houses because of unpaid taxes because they don't have job due to economic crisis. Every single problem has its own root, I know you are aware of this and as far as I am concern, our country is falling apart because of the domino effects. Our country is leveling down as it passes to those selfish and lifeless. Generations had passed but there are still unchanging Filipino problems.
I hope in your hands, our country can move away from these problems. We Filipinos are expecting too much from you Mr. President. We are counting on you and anytime, we are ready to move towards the betterment of our future. Wish you more luck and blessings from God. Thank you!

Yours truly,
Jerrina Arconado
